In addition to the special beginner-friendly features found on the 500 Bantam models, the 50 Youth includes a (fixed-length) 12 inch length of pull, hardwood stock, a shortened magazine tube and a compact 20 inch barrel for lighter weight and improved balance - all helpful in pointing young shooters to success. 505 Youth barrels have 3 inch chambers. All models include a Mossberg gun lock. 505 Youth barrels are not interchangeable with any other models.
